The game
As an adaptation of the award-winning boardgame series “MicroMacro: Crime City” the mobile game “MicroMacro: Downtown Detective” combines wimmelbild and detective story.
The game presents you with a whole range of sometimes gruesome yet witty criminal cases. To crack those cases you’ll navigate a huge city map to investigate clues and make deductions. From a birds-flight view you’ll follow suspects and spot them at different points in time while they’re moving through the bustling city. This simple yet compelling mechanism transforms the city map into a story-telling landscape jam-packed with hidden details, clever stories, challenging puzzles – and copious crime.
While “MicroMacro: Downtown Detective” is an adaptation of the iconic boardgame-series “MicroMacro: Crime City”, it comes with a whole new set of cases and game mechanics, turning the cooperative boardgame into an approachable yet suspense driven mobile solo adventure.

Soft Boiled Games is an independent game studio based in Düsseldorf-Bilk, Germany.
